It's Easy As 1-2-3!
Lessons are for ages 10 and Up
1. We do a brief interview to ask about your player and about what your expectations are before we start.
2. We discuss rates, where we should meet and most importantly, how I can fit into your busy schedule.
3. We set a time and a place to meet and do pitching / throwing lessons.
Coach On The GO is a mobile pitching instruction business. For your convenience, I come to you!
I have all the equipment we'll need to work. All your player needs is a glove and a great attitude and an open mind to accept possibly making some minor changes. Cleats are not necessary.
I've worked all over Georgia and the Atlanta area and know of fields that will meet the requirements of our session. Most often, we meet at a local ballpark near you. Most if not all of our work doesn't involve a pitchers mound.
Any meeting areas suggestions near you are welcomed!
Each "Plan" consists of three, 45-60 minute sessions, with a goal to meet once a week.
These are NOT just bullpen sessions. In fact, 98% of our work is done on flat-ground.
Lessons are a combination of physical work, lecture and question and answer. We will work but It's just as important to have open discussions about the "why".
**Please know that all lesson plans are paid in advance (at the first lesson). I am blessed to be in high demand and this secures a spot in the schedule for the following week. Every effort will be made to fit you into a time slot that works for you.
I highly suggest and encourage parents to stick around and ask questions and take a note or two. Maybe even learn some "key words" to use during the practice week between sessions with me. When working on body control and movement, I often use slow motion video to analyze pitchers. I don't mind if you video your player while he works but please ask before capturing verbal communications.
What About The Weather?
Dress appropriately according to the weather. Some days it will be hot. Some days it could be cold and damp. We will do all we can to work around the weather conditions and gain an edge. If it is too cold, wet or if the rain is heavy and the weather is not cooperating, we'll just reschedule the lesson for another time. If we have to cut the lesson short because of rain or lightning, I'll make it up on the next lesson.
Safety is a priority
“Yes, Coach Autry taught my son proper technique and fundamentals that he used his entire career including professional baseball.
But even more than that, Steve really helped instill a love and respect for baseball….”.
"We worked 5 years with Coach Autry, starting when my son was a 12 years old . The things my son has learned beyond mechanics, enabled my son to build incredible confidence, have a healthy injury free pitching career through high school and now into college. Loved working with Coach Autry! A real treat and can't thank him enough..."
“I couldn't recommend Steve any higher. We could not have possibly had a better experience for pitching lessons…”
"Steve has a real talent for simplifying a very complicated subject matter. Our experience has been really great with immediate improvement and results. Strikes = Outs! "
"Coach Steve helped me understand that baseball teaches many lessons about life...lessons I use today, 10 years after learning them...Thank you coach!"
"Working with Coach Autry helped me understand so much about what I needed to do to prepare myself. Even after my professional career, I use much of what I learned from Coach to teach my Little Leaguers! He's was such an influence". Thanks Coach."
